Pisa Part II
Here are some more pics from our trip to Pisa in early November.

The Arno River 4o miles or so downstream from Florence.

The cathedral in Pisa.

Bronze doors that made Florentines jealous.

Detail of bronze doors.

Interior of cathedral.

Baptistry. Though less famous than the bell tower, the Baptistry also has a little lean too it as well.

Interior of Baptistry.

Pulpit by Pisano in the Baptistry.

Holding up the tower.

The famous leaning tower. It is actually the campanile or bell tower and started leaning while still under construction due to the soft sandy ground it is built on. It has a little curve to it as they tried to straighten it a bit as they built it.

Campanile from the Museo side.

Wooden model in the Museo.

Crucifix. Museo.

Sculpture from the Cathedral. Museo.
